Certified Scrum Master Training

Leading an agile project is radically different from conventional project management. Rather than plan, instruct and direct, the leader of a Scrum team (called a ScrumMaster) facilitates, coaches and leads. Certified ScrumMaster training prepares participants to step fully into the role of ScrumMaster.

Aligned with the Scrum Alliance learning objectives, this certified training provides a foundational understanding of Scrum and enables participants to develop the tools, insights, and skills required to apply Scrum on their projects and across their organizations. Launching Agile Teams [FREE Meetup event]

In the worlds of Scrum or Kanban, self-organizing teams are the "engine" that turn backlog items (user requests) into valuable working software and drive results for your business and its customers. And yet, often overlooked are the critical steps and factors required for these teams to "jell" and become a cohesive force that is intrinsically motivated, clear on its direction, and moving under its own power.

This evening session will combine foundational workshop design concepts with hands-on immersive learning to give you both a structured path and instinctive "feel" for what it takes to successfully launch an agile team. Additional details and to RSVP

Agile at Allstate - Scrum & XP in Action [FREE Meetup event]

With Uber upending the transportation industry, Airbnb shaking up hospitality, and a host of financial services companies aiming to unseat the incumbents, it can be a scary time to be a legacy company, whatever your current market position. Billions of dollars are flowing into startups, most of them hoping to destroy the old guard across a variety of industries.

If you're Allstate, the insurance giant founded in 1931 with over $35 billion in revenue and an impressive spot (#81) on the Fortune 500 list, you fight back by forming a company-wide effort called CompoZed Labs, the stated goal being to "provide fully functional technology services and products at extreme speed, improving quality and delivering beautiful business solutions that work at Allstate."

Join us for an Agile in Action Field Report on Julie Clayton's two-year journey of launching Allstate's Charlotte-based CompoZed Agile development lab and leading cross-functional  teams into a zone of elevated innovation, productivity, and performance. Additional details and to RSVP for this Next Wave Agility-sponsored free event.
